Ich's Room...

Kani sat outside Ich's room in the hospital, slightly nervous. She hadn't wanted to bring him to the Shadow Land but none of the closer villages had a hospital that she could go to. A nurse came out and smiled at her. "You can go in now dear." Kani nodded and forced a smile onto her face before she walked into Ich's room. He lay on his bed, his entire chest, right leg, and both arms wrapped up in bandages. She sat down in a chair beside him.

"Hello Kani... how are you?" Ich asks with a tiny smile on his face

She shrugged.

"I'm good...but how are you?"

She started to play with a little bracelet on her wrist. She felt slightly nervous and she wasnt so sure why.

"I'm fine... and... thanks for... bringing... me here..." Ich struggled to say because of the bandages

Kani smiled and nodded.

"Why wouldn't I have? You're my friend and you're seriously hurt. You would have done the same thing for me."

She paused.

"I'm just glad that you'll be ok."

Ich smiles wider and says blushing a bit, "You were my first friend ever... if I hadn't met you, I would've been dead by now... I'm glad that you're ok and that I've met you..."

Kani slowly shook her head.

"I think that you would have been able to get out..."

She smiled slightly and looked up at Ich.

"And I'm glad that I've met you to."

"I dont think so, because I would've stumbled across prince, prince bites me, I become human, but then the pressure would've killed me if it wasn't for you." Ich says gentlemanly-like with a soft smile on his face and continues to say, "and I'm entirely glad that I met you..."

Kani blushed slightly, realizing that what Ich said was true.

"Again...you would have done it for me."

She smiled.

"But I have no intention of becoming a real vampire so you have no problem."

"And I had no intention of staying a real vampire" Ich added, and then says, "I did do it for you Kani"

Kani stared at him, running his sentence around and around in her head.

"You...what?"

(I'm talking about saving you from death... twice...)

"I did, what I did, because I care about you" Ich says nicely

(uh...im confused...he saved her because he likes her or he turned back into a human because he likes her? or both? can I just go with the vampire turning human thing?)

Kani smiled, covering up her confusion.

"Ich..."

Her smile wavered for a second.

"I really like you too...but not in the way I think you like me. But thank you..."

"Your welcome" Gaiya says smiling

Kani leaned back in her chair and stared at her hands, which were clasped in her lap. She thought about what Ich just said.

Ich was silent for a moment

She looked up at him.

"Why do you like me though?"

"Because... Your alot like me... we both had second chances at living... right?" Ich starts

Kani nodded, realizing that Ich might have more to say.

(I forgot the other ways we are alixe XD )

(uh...we both have secrets? some that we've shared but others that we want to keep secret...we both fight until we like, die and...thats all i can think of)

"We also have secrets that we only tell to people we trust the most, and we both fight, until to death, for reasons unknown" Ich continued and finished

Kani bit her lip and nodded, staring at the floor. Ich didn't know how many secrets she had.

"I like fighting because..." she said, trying to answer. "It makes me happy I guess but I'm not sure why..."

She forced out a laugh and looked at him.

"I guess you're right about the "unknown reasons" part."

"Yeah..." Ich says, with a smile on his face still, but continued to say, "I also like you because you were my very first friend... that I cared for..."

Kani blushed slightly, although the red really contrasted with her pale skin so Ich could see.

"Ich...you're one my friends...one of my very few close ones..."

She doesn't really know what else to say.

"And I care about you a lot too..."
