This jutsu uses nearby water to become ice mirrors that completely surround the opponent. These mirrors can't be easily broken or melted because they can be harder than steel. The user can travel instantaneously between these mirrors and attack while in transit, making it nearly impossible to fend off the user's attacks or attack the user. Once inside one of these mirrors, the rest of the world appears to be in slow motion, making it very capable for the user to have an easier advantage over their opponent.
Haku's Makyō Hyōshō had never been defeated before his fight with Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke, when Naruto used the Kyūbi's chakra to break through the mirrors.

This jutsu freezes water into the shape of sharp needles, which then home in on the opponent from all directions. To perform this Jutsu, the user must be near a body of water. Haku is able to perform this jutsu with one-handed hand seals.
background: Haku was born in a time where people that had bloodline limits were feared and persecuted. His mother chose to hide her gift in hopes of having a happy life with her family. This all changed when the bloodline manifested in Haku. His mother scolded him telling to keep it a secret from his father. However, his father found out and lead a small mob of villagers that killed Haku's mother. Haku would have met the same fate but created icicles throughout the house that killed the mob and his father.
This left him orphaned with no one that wanted him around. Haku wandered the streets of Kirigakure often competing with stray dogs for scraps of food. Eventually he met Zabuza Momochi, who persuaded Haku to become his tool. He left the village with Zabuza and, while on their journey they came across a young Kimmimaro. Haku noted that he had the same look in his eyes.
Over the years, Zabuza trained Haku and turned him into a deadly assassin. However, Haku began to look up to Zabuza as a father figure through their bond. This progressed until it got to the point where Haku became overprotective of his master and wouldn't let anyone touch him. Eventually they were hired by Gatoh to assassinate a man called Tazuna. After Zabuza's first battle with Kakashi, Haku posed as a hunter-nin who supposed to kill Zabuza.
However, Zabuza battled with Kakashi and suffered severe wounds. He used the last bit of his strength to finish of Gatoh. This left Haku without the one person he cared about most in the world. With nowhere to go he decided to return to his home village where he is currently living.

Even though he was an assassin, Haku has a very kind and gentle personality. He prefers not to kill his enemies, instead prefering to knock them out. It is also shown that Haku believes that when you protect someone you care about it makes you stronger. However, despite his gentle exterior Haku can be a deadly opponent. He has a tendency to be effeminate as well leading to people mistaking him for a girl occasionally.
Despite his delicate appearance, Haku is a deadly opponent, and this shows whenever he battles. In battle he fights with extreme dexterity and speed that his movements couldn't be seen by the naked eye. He is good with strategy as he has been shown being quickly able think of a way around an opponent's fighting style. Haku can perform hand seals using only one hand, and is skilled with using needles.
