Kani stared at him and shook her head. "No! NO! Gaara, you can't do that to yourself! Not again! Please-" Her voice cracked on the last words and a soundless tear trailed down her cheek. "Please...you can't. Not again...What-what about Suna? What-what about Hitori? Or-or-" She tried to think of another person. She shook her head widly. "NO!" Her voice, by the end, had reached an insane octive and loudness. The type that could break eardrums in the literal sense. She sounded like an angry spirit, to be short.

"I might not have to." He shook his head, snickering. "Suna will be fine without me, Hitori has better things, and you're only going to gain something from it. Look, Kani, I might not even do it, alright? That's just how I'm feeling right now, it might not stay with me. Don't worry about anything."

"How can I not worry! Why would that thought even be in your head!" she screamed. "And I dont want to gain from it! Why are you doing this? For me?! NO!? Gaara, you cant do this again! I cant believe the thought would even cross her mind!"

"Heh.." He looked at her. "I'm not doing it for you."

Kani bit her lip and shook her head. "Gaara, no. I won't let you. You cant just kill yourself for me. You cant."

He turned around, glaring at her. Though, he wasn't exactly sure why he suddenly started all of this. And to someone he had killed two days ago, at that. "I'm not doing it for you."

Kani sighed in frustration. "Idiot! That's what you just told me! Well, if it's not, then explain to me why you're doing it!!" Kani was starting to get kinda pissed.

"I don't know!" He shouted, putting his hands to his head and growling slightly. "I don't want to talk about it anymore."

"Then I'll leave," Kani said. "I hate to be an inconvenience." She turned around quickly and stepped up onto a window sill. She wondered about if she jumped, would she die again? Or go through the pavement? Or just...nothing.

"No.." He sighed, looking up at her with one hand still at his forehead. "You're not an inconvenience.. you don't need to leave, I'll stop."

Kani shook her head. "Gaara, you said that a couple minutes ago. And I stayed. Now look at yourself..."

"Your right.." He looked to the floor, turning slightly. "I'm not in the state of mind today. I just.."

He shook his head, walking to the door and leaving the room.

Kani didn't watch him leave. But she didn't not look away. Her eyes were closed as she stood on the window sill. "Good bye Gaara," she said into the silence. She didn't plan on coming back. Everytime she saw him, something went wrong and she ended up hurting him. She wouldn't do that again. Then she left.
