Kani walked up the walk to the Hokage's place and passed the ninja guard. Just like at the Kazekage mansion, no one saw her slip through the doors. Then she went upstairs and passed through the doors to the Hokage's office.

Hitori sat in the Hokage's office because she was the Hokage, what else was she supposed to do? She was working on paper work l, like always. She looked up and saw Kani.
"Hello Kani, how may I help you?"
She sounded professional , but looked genuine.

Kani blinked and looked at Hitori. "You can see me?" she asked. She smiled. "You can see me!" Then she ran over and tried to hug Hitori, but passed right through her.

Hitori stood up and looked at Kani with scared eyes.
"What... What's going on Kani?"
She took a step towards Kani.

Kani laughed nervously under her breath and turned to face Hitori. "Sorry... I'm not used to people not seeing me... So when someone can I get a little excited..."

"Why can't other people see you? What happened?"
Hitori was confused and didn't know whether or not to take a step toward or away from Kani.

"I don't know why other people can't see me... Gaara said something about it but I don't remember right now." She looked up at Hitori, smiled shyly. "I think it was something about how some people have like, a gift, or they're more connected or something... I really can't remember. And I've only met one person who can see me, the other's can't. So I was happy when you said that you could..."

She was still confused. Last time she had seen Kani she was very visible, and everyone around could see her. What had changed since last time she had no clue.
"Uh, okay... So what's new Kani?"

Kani shrugged. "Nothing really...you can't do much when you're dead."

Hitori looked at her, partly scared, and partly surprised.
"Since when were you dead?!"
She asked in a somewhat shriekish voice.

(BOMBSHELL!! I just kinda threw that little bit of info at you)

Kani ticked off numbers on her fingers. "About a week...maybe a week and a half." She looked back at Hitori.

"How...?
((Yeah Hitori had NO idea.))

Kani stared at the ground. "Shukaku," she mummbled in an EXTREMLY quiet voice. She actually hoped that Hitori hadn't heard her, since she'd probably freak out.

"Shukaku..."
She did hear her. She didn't really freak.
"Did Gaara lose control of Shukaku?"

Kani muttered under her breath before speaking. "I don't know," she said, looking up at Hitori. "I don't remember anything."
